We are proud to announce that Designers Remix is turning 15 this year. Charlotte Eskildsen is marking this special occasion by setting the sails for a new sustainable initiative for the future of Designers Remix. The project is named “Preloved Remix” and is a circular project that seeks to produce garments using minimal resources.
Charlotte Eskildsen explains “Preloved Remix” by saying, “Thinking about how many clothes we have sold in the past 15 years, there must be a huge potential resource of really good quality garments out there waiting to be revived.”
When the brand was founded in 2002, this sustainable mindset was the backbone of the entire business idea. Charlotte re-used and re-shaped shirts from stock facilities and mixed them together with vintage items forming a full, yet unique, collection that was sold box by box. This was the foundation of the brand “Designers Remix”.
“My initial thought with this company was to re-use garments and create unique styles without comprising the environment. This is deeply founded in our brand DNA and the time for this project is now”
In the future, our customers will be able to deliver preloved Designers Remix styles from the past 15 years to our flagship stores. These garments will then be remade or remixed into new styles and sold exclusively in our stores. A unique collection of previous lovers.
The project will kick off with styles made in collaboration with supporting influencers. These first Preloved Remix styles will be showcased during Copenhagen Fashion Week at the RTW SS18 show.
